This time I said I mean it So don't you dare go and give that look You know this time I said I mean it The oldest trick there is in the book Going round and round in a circle And you know that we have been here before But This time I said I mean it So don't you dare here we go... Around in circles and we've been here before But the message of the story is true This time I mean it I've said it over and over And I don't think that you get it But don't make me say it again I'll count to three and four Please baby I am not the bad guy Maybe in the past you could get away But I mean it this time I don't like it when I yell And when mother hears about it She will give you hell Even thought I might seem angry You must know that I love you But I swear This is the last time I will say it Though you drive me crazy Know that I mean it this time This time I said I mean it So don't you dare go and give that look You know this time I said I mean it The oldest trick there is in the book Going round and round in a circle And you know that we have been here before But This time I said I mean it So don't you dare Here we go Because I told you so And you know this time I mean it

Ring My Bell 04:00
They asked me how I felt I said I'm swell Well baby all I'm saying is if I were a bell I'd be ringing like Old Ben chimes out on the hour If you were to kiss me tonight That's the icing on the cake And I will love you from this moment 'till forever So come on baby ring my bell I still remember that old song you sing And every time you sing it I hear wedding bells ring Reminiscing 'bout that time in the Spring When the birdies fly into a pale moon sky And all the bells were ringing dinging ding dong dinging All around you and I knew That there was just nothing more that I could do Wont you come on baby ring my bell

My Home 08:43
My home is where you are thought near or far If you are there The outline's faint but I remember you For I could part from you but in my heart You're not far away In my memories joy is in the air In my memories I'm safe when you are there My home is where you are I'll close my eyes And you're with me I realize that I am not complete if I can't have you here So say that you feel the same way that I do 'Cause my home is you

Playing these thoughts all over in my head Maybe I just misread Something 'bout your persuasion Situation Always falling for that But maybe now I will recall Last time this happened Baby we've been through all of this before Don't go open that door Haven't we learned from last time In a past time Always falling for that But maybe now I will recall Last time this happened I know Better Better than that Won't listen to whatever you say Things are finally going my way Talk a way with me down memory lane The last time this happened Baby we've been through all of this before Don't go open that door It's like a bad magic spell And I fell Always falling for that But maybe now I will recall Last time happened

Wyonova 04:36
Here I call my home In old Wyo Way out west Is where I'll rest Mountains so high Wide open skies It's just the same Winds on the plain I'm through with my roaming Wyoming's calling me

1330 06:09
There's a place you can go to see a show See friendly faces you may know The word on the street They're taking a seat At 1330 So won't you come down Talk of the town Listen to hear that swingin' sound Come on and lift your dancing feet off the ground Welcome to 1330 All good company It's bound to be All here at 1330 It's in your memory Say it with me N-O-C-T-U-R-N-E It's the place to be Hear the melody At 1330

about

Lora Sings Markley is an asynchronously recorded record that is comprised of six original compositions by Dr. Ben Markley, adapted for the voice with lyrics added by Lora Sherrodd. Sherrodd, a professional jazz vocalist located in Philadelphia, is a former student of Dr. Markley, the director of Jazz Studies at the University of Wyoming. The album also features other University of Wyoming alumni Connor Koch and Larry Shaw.

A fascination for the vocalese spurred Sherrodd to write lyrics to already existing instrumental music. Inspired by lyricists such as Jon Hendricks and Joni Mitchell who personally knew the composers they were writing for, this approach allowed Sherrodd to craft stories that were specific to Markley’s life and vision
